“Qhull<->Maya PyMEL-GUI” don’t use any longer any temporary text files for in and output to Qhull. Now, it used effectively the libqhull, the C library of Qhull for all operations. Well then? This approach is very much faster !!!

Thank you so much for your vested  interest, but at this moment it isn’t possible. I will release a paper and the whole software tool-set I developed during this project once I graduated. Voronoi cell structure based on a tensegrity gyroid shape. Irregular point set calculation again with my new pointset caculator within “Qhull<->Maya PyMEL-GUI”. Certainly pure geometry too – no texture!

2D Voronoi Moebius Split Torus

I’m scripting a new pointset creation modul to create locator sets named “LocSeeder” for the “Qhull<->Maya PyMEL-GUI” which used some natural algorithm functions. The base model split torus was shaped with TopMod, then a syncrisis between irregular point set calculation and cell relaxation, isosceles voronoi cells, on the surface with the “LocSeeder”. The voronoi cells are pure geometry – no texture!  The greatest source of inspiration is always the NATURE !!!

Tower Cupola

There’s one of my previous concepts for a tower building or a church-tower cupola, that I designed perhaps two years ago. It follows along a NURBS hyperbolic surface shell as a guide object. I’ve also used incidentally my same old 3D-pattern for a cool lamp design posterior (“LightGlobe” look for that in my gallery). That concept sketch was made with the involved tools Maya however and the unique Generizer modul in SmartDuplicate.

Batwing Minimal Surface

Batwing minimal surface basic construction with NURBS in Maya and some imagination. Converted to polys, remeshing to coral-like structure and a wire solidification.  …and yes, I like this noisy rendering stuff. 🙂
